It's the start of a new school year which means new faces in the lab! Read below for a short intro to each of our new lab members. First up is Samara (top left)! Samara is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Korean studies. Samara is interested in researching neurodegenerative diseases that afflict the elderly, such as Alzheimer's Disease. Next we have Ariana (second from the top left). Ariana is our newest PhD student in the Cognitive psychology program and is interested in memory and cognitive decline, as well as the intersection between neurology and psychology with relation to neurodegeneration. Next up is Asa (second from the top right). Asa is double majoring in psychology and biology and is interested in developmental cognitive psychology. The CAM Lab also welcomes Sierra (top right). Sierra is double majoring in psychology and sociology and is interested in clinical psychology and how memory processes are affected by aging.
Next up is Dhiya (bottom left). Dhiya is a psychology major on the pre-med track and has joined the CAM Lab as she is passionate about learning more about cognitive and clinical psychology and how we can develop interventions to improve memory in older adults. Farhana (2nd from the bottom left) is another new face in The CAM Lab! Farhana is on the pre-med track and is majoring in psychology and minoring in Health. Farhana is interested in cognitive aging and identifying ways we can limit harmful aging stereotypes. Ali (2nd from the bottom right) is majoring in biology and is interested in exploring how daily living activities for older adults can be improved through a greater understanding of memory. Last but not least, we have Dhanwantari (bottom right). Dhan is a psychology major on the pre-med track and is interested in finding ways to improve older adults cognitive performance and day-to-day activities so that they can live independently.
